Professionals working to support parents

Although being a parent is exciting and rewarding, it can also be extremely stressful. Parents can sometimes become stressed because they expect too much of themselves. Learning relaxation skills is a way of giving your mind and body space, and this can lead to a reappraisal of events and priorities.

There are many coping skills that individuals develop during their life to help them to understand and reduce the feelings and symptoms of stress and developing relaxation techniques is one more skill to draw upon. The purpose of relaxation is to reduce negative emotional and physiological feelings, release tension, restore energy and encourage calming thought processes. By relaxing we can improve our physical and psychological health and enjoy being a parent.

This half day training course is designed for professionals working with parents, who would like to include relaxation techniques in their work.
