Optimistic Learners Achieve More

Course content:

‘changes in the mind can cause changes in both the function and structure of the brain …. and that suggests many more options for taking charge of our emotional well-being’ (Andrew Weil, MD 2013)

This course aims to raise awareness of brain function in the development of emotions and how education and experiences at school can shape our emotional well-being and view of learning.

During the one day course the following are included:

  • The role of brain research and neuroplasticity
  • How emotions can be developed – we have a choice
  • Choosing how we think and feel
  • Being an optimistic learner helps students master new learning
  • How to encourage children/students to be optimistic learners – practical tools to put into practice with the pupils you work with.
