About Evthemonia INSET and Consultancy

Evthemonia Training and Consultancy was founded and is run by Jackie Lamb BA (Hons) PGCE MEd MIHPE.

Jackie is an experienced educational practitioner and began her career working as a primary school teacher. Since then she has worked as a behaviour support teacher and manager, as well as an FE lecturer. Jackie has spent a number of years training education professionals including trainee teachers, NQTs, Headteachers, Parent Support Workers, Learning Mentors and Teaching Assistants, as well as carrying out parent programmes for families.

Whilst studying for her Master’s degree at Cambridge University Jackie investigated the impact of stress on children’s learning and has carried out research relating to stress in primary school playgrounds and its management through peer support. This led to Essex County Council publishing ‘Playleaders’ a resource for primary schools to support them to improve playtimes.

After completing training in CBT and relaxation skills at The Centre for Stress Management, Jackie went on to work with the University of East London and a number of schools to explore and research the value of relaxation in schools to promote access to learning and positive mental health. Jackie has published a CD-ROM entitled Relaxation in Schools designed to help teachers to introduce relaxation techniques in the curriculum at any key stage.

Jackie has delivered training throughout the United Kingdom to a variety of clients including schools, local authorities and primary care trusts.
